We arrived at the Zadar, Croatia port in the early morning and after docking we disembarked for a walking tour of the old city. Zadar was the capital of independent Dalmatia for over a millenium so it held great influence with Rome, Venice, and other empires. After the walking tour I took an optional excursion to explore the Zadar Hinterland where we visited the tiny village of Novigrad. After that we continued to the village of Nadin and a visit to the rural Odzakovic farmhouse where we sampled wine from it's 360 acres of organic vineyards and had lunch before returing to the ship.
