This Gallery begins with some photos of Caesarea Maritima which was built during c. 20–10 BCE. The area became dominated by the Romans in 63 BCE, when they declared it an autonomous city. The pagan city underwent vast changes under Herod the Great, who renamed it Caesarea in honor of the Roman emperor, Caesar Augustus.

We continued on to Haifa, the International Headquarters of the Baha'i Faith, and the Baha'i Shrine and Gardens on Mount Carmel. The gardens feature 19 manicured terraces that lead down to the Shrine of the Bab, entombing the remains of Bab, Baha'i Allah, the herald of the Baha'i Faith.
