This is a smattering of photos taken of the Cherry Blossoms around the Tidal Basin in March 2012. This was the 100 year anniversary of the plantings so it was pretty special.
The blossoms arrived about 2-3 weeks early this year and I photographed them as soon as I could due to some threaten weather that was forecast (hence the green leaves and undeveloped buds on some of the trees).
