Day 5 was spent visiting Siena and San Gimignano and then onto Florence where we arrived in the late afternoon. We toured briefly around the city then drove to an overlook with beautiful views of the city near sunset. We then drove to the Piazza di Santa Croce to observe the Basilica di Santa Croce (Basilica of the Holy Cross) and have group dinner at a restaurant alongside the piazza (square).
